Located in the up-and-coming Meatpacking District of New York, NY, an elaborate torquing tower rises out of a two-story brick warehouse built in 1938. This former meat-processing facility at 837 Washington Avenue has been redesigned into a unique six-story office and retail center with a rooftop deck and terraces. IDS detailed all the structural steel for this building and worked closely with all stakeholders to ensure perfection on this complex design. 837 Washington Avenue was featured in the October 2014 issue of Modern Steel Construction and won an award of honor from the Society of American Architects.
