IDS provided structural steel detailing and stair detailing for AHN-Wexford Hospital in Wexford, PA. The 160-bed hospital ®is a full-service, clinician-led facility serving the North Hills communities of Pittsburgh. The structural connections were primarily SidePlate® connections that required extensive coordination with SidePlate® engineers to make sure the design and detailing were accurate for the required connection standards. Detailed curtain wall coordination ensured the bent plate was properly notched and corresponded with the curtain wall vendor’s drawings. With the design from IDS’s customer, the entry cantilever temporary supports were detailed, fabricated, and installed to allow for the appropriate deflections. This project was completed on time using SDS2.
