Cle Elum Dam Fish Passage Facility

The Cle Elum Dam Fish Passage Facility in Kittitas County, WA, is a $200 million project that will provide fish with access to historic habitats and restore biodiversity and natural production. Detailing included drawing a series of tiered intake gates and a complex helix structure that channels juvenile fish into an underground passage tunnel. The purpose of the site is to provide a safe harbor and spawning ground for species that were once more numerous in the area, including sockeye salmon and bull trout.
