IDS can create model for customers upon request. Utilizing the design drawings, we model the structural steel and apply connections to provide the client with a take-off of the material in the model. If miscellaneous design is necessary, IDS can model this as well and break this out separately. We utilize SDS2 or Tekla and can export various file types for use in various estimating programs, or other software systems that take KSS, XSR, or other file formats from our modeling programs. A 3D PDF or model fly-through can also be provided for our client’s use in bidding the job to show the model to their prospective customer. Our accurate stick models allow steel fabricators to win more work from potential customers.
